Inspiration
I love Dante's Inferno, and I wanted to remix the RPG elements to create a specific story following a hero's journey into either the depths of hell or through the landscape of heaven. The goal is to let people experience these great works with a clever and distinct twist.
What it does
It sets up a raging battle between heaven and hell where the player will choose to either side with the demons or angels to wipe out the opposing side. The journey will be dynamic as they travel and constantly change as they move deeper in.
How we built it
Using PartyRock and prompt engineering. I had a lot of fun putting it together by weaving various pieces together. What I love about PartyRock is that each step is basically a building block into the next, and as it adapts the story it can shift everything.
Challenges we ran into
Getting everything to play well together was difficult, and I ended up having to shift a few things around as I went and constantly update prompts to get them to work correctly. I also spent a lot of time shifting and changing the models for each task depending on which one was best for what I was trying to accomplish.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm most proud of how effectively I managed to get the puzzles and game play lined up with the look and feel of Dante's works.
What we learned
I learned a ton of cool things about PartyRock and AI in general. I have experience with bedrock, openai, and other tools so this was something different.
What's next for Inferno
I would like to continue tuning the prompts to make sure they are able to continue the story effectively.
