Inspiration

Counterfeiting is a worldwide problem that affects our economy. The damage is over 2.5 percent of world trade, which is that’s $464 billion a year, or roughly the gross domestic product of the country of Belgium. As highlighted by OECD research, in many jurisdictions “counterfeiting goes largely unpunished due to difficulties in coordinating effective responses and perceptions that these are ‘victimless’ crimes that do not warrant significant action,” among other challenges. The problem for customers is that they don’t easily get information of the product themselves or can do a product check. When you buy a bag, you will get the bag.

We from SambaCHECK want to change the infrastructure of products, by providing a quick check of a product. This helps customers to check products easily on counterfeiting and making better decisions for the planet. SambaCHECK provides a plugin that can be integrated directly on the website from the organization (brand). Because the infrastructure of SambaCHECK is built on the TRON blockchain, information can be saved in a secure way where information can be sent from wallet to wallet. For each product an NFT certification with all specific information of the product will be generated. This means that product A has to match with NFT certification A. Because SambaCHECK is a plugin, a customer that buys a Louis Vuitton bag, can only get the NFT certification by visit the Louis Vuitton website. Organizations don’t have to invest in an expensive infrastructure but can easily integrate SambaCHECK in their own website.

What it does

SambaCHECK is a plugin that provides a web3 security infrastructure on TRON, where organizations can make a non-fungible token (NFT) certification for each product automatically. SambaCHECK creates a new layer of security where brands can protect their products by providing a unique certification which will be generated when the product is finish. When a person buys a product, the login to view the certification on the website of the brand, will be send to the given email from the person. In the certification all special information is saved, which means that the person that buys the product has all the information of the product on the certification.

SambaCHECK is built with: TRON, React js, Next js, CSS, SCSS, Solidity, TSX, JSX, JS, Javascript, html, typescript, solidity, Node js.

Benefits compared to existing solutions

• Use of the blockchain technology. SambaCHECK is built with the TRON blockchain infrastructure, which provides solidity smart contracts. Besides that, the infrastructure has different security protocols, low gas to deploy, call functions from smart contract and is easy to write code in solidity.
• People are making better decisions that don't affect the environment. SambaCHECK can create an important part of providing information from a product. Next to that, SambaCHECK can work together with labels, which means that information can be provided in one certification.
• SambaCHECK is B2B product where the plugin can be integrated easily on the website from the organization. This means that the organization can provide information directly to the wallet from the customer.

Risk Mitigation strategy

SambaCHECK is an online check, which means that you need a device like a smartphone, table or computer and visit the website -> More than 88% of the US population has a smartphone , which means that almost everyone can use the SambaCHECK service. Also, many organizations providing information, like the receipt, in an App/website. Because SambaCHECK is plugin, the organization can provide all information in one overview, which means that the customer can get the NFT certification directly by open their account.

It can take more than three years before the product is ready for launch -> It’s important to create an MVP to test SambaCHECK with a small group of people. By testing the product, feedback can be generated by each iteration, which means that the first version of the product can be used in less than 1.5 years.
