Inspiration Indian college students often struggle to balance academics, self-study, and career preparation. Most planning tools assume ideal routines and unlimited time, which does not reflect real student life. This inspired us to build an AI solution that works around real constraints.

What it does SAMAY.AI is an AI-powered student copilot that generates realistic daily study and career preparation plans. It takes inputs such as college timetable, existing skills, career goals, available free hours, and commute time to create a practical and balanced routine.

How we built it The project was built using Python and Gradio, and deployed as a live interactive web application on Hugging Face Spaces. The AI logic focuses on constraint-aware planning and micro-task based career preparation to avoid burnout.

Challenges we faced The main challenge was designing a system that feels useful without being overwhelming. We also focused on keeping the solution simple, accessible, and suitable for students with limited resources.

What we learned This project helped us understand the importance of user-centric AI design, especially for everyday student problems in Bharat. Practical usefulness matters more than complex algorithms.
