Inspiration

I want to build this fully decentralised casino because the centralised natures of existing casino exposed the users to the same catageories of risk that banking does. One does not have control over its coins, one has to trust the casino not to cheat and never trully knows if he one day will be able to cashout.

Also this project can exist only thanks to the power of solana. On Ethereum only big financial applications can exist given the cost of usage and so this project is impossible on ethereum. After seeing the power of solana this idea that i wanted to build for some time became possible.

What it does

It is a fully decentralised Casino running on Solana for now we only have a head or tail game as an MVP for the hackathon but we will extend to a fully fledge casino. The casino liquidity is also community driven for the casino uses users staked funds to pay the winners and in exchange the stakers will get losers fund and the casino fees.

How we built it

I built it using Anchor the solana rust framework, nodejs for the backend, react for the UI.

Challenges we ran into

How to generate random numbers without a VRF was pretty challenging but i ended up finding a solution. Also without much existing documentation it was pretty hard to start with solana programming
