Inspiration

In late December 2019, a new (novel) coronavirus was identified in China causing severe respiratory disease including pneumonia. The disease caused as a result of infection is named - coronavirus disease (COVID-19). COVID-19 has been categorized as an airborne High Consequence Infections Disease. Since COVID-19 vaccines are coming out, to prevent the virus is being spread wide again, we need to control the crowd, and control the number of people in one area.

What it does

People can book and cancel the appointment via WhatsApp. It will reflect on your calendar and reminds you.

How we built it

We use Twilio to train chatbot, python script is to connect the SAP cloud and Twilio together and act as a java script to response to user's response accordingly. We deploy python on SAP cloud.

Challenges we ran into

SAP cloud is new for us and we spent the time to understand how it works. linked SAP cloud to the chatbot to perform booking.

What's next for SaltyFish appointment clerk

Due to time constraints, we did not have enough time to train the bot well, Gps system could be implemented to improve the service. Web application could also be implemented, so can book an appointment by using both web or WhatsApp methods.
