Inspiration
We were inspired by our own lack of financial knowledge. We wanted to make something that helps everyone improve their financial literacy while making it fun, accessible, and adding a little incentive at the end. Our goal is to make difficult financial concepts easy for anyone to learn.
What it does
Salt aims at improving financial literacy. Through the game, Salt is focused on developing the building blocks for greater financial success. The game has 5 levels, each with harder topics so that users can learn about various terminology in the finance world.
How we built it
HTML, CSS, JavaScript are the main components
Challenges we ran into
Our issues mainly stemmed from the frontend like buttons not working. Another issue was connecting the backend to the frontend.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're really proud of the moving icons and how far we got the design to be.
What we learned
Our biggest takeaway is that if one approach doesn't work, go about it another way! We tried to do this project in different ways and stuck with it until we got one that works.
What's next for Salt
Our next step is to improve functionality and add more incentives! We wish to expand and put this out in the world for users.
