Inspiration - Simplicity.
What it does - Collects sufficient volumes of viral RNA for a Covid-19 diagnostic test, without the need for swabs and human-to-human contact.
How I built it - The idea was came to me, however the product that will be used already exists.
Challenges I ran into - Whether sufficient viral particles can be collected.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of - The extensive research into validating the idea.
What I learned - The importance of projects like these in the fight against Covid-19.
What's next for Saliva collection method for rapid COVID19 sample collection - Partnership with a company who can produce the product, partnership with labs and hospitals to validate the idea, Partnership with distribution companies, partnership with sterile container companies.
