Inspiration
I was inspired to create this Sales Dashboard for E-Commerce Analytics after observing how many online businesses struggle to quickly analyze their sales and customer data. I wanted to build a tool that provides clear insights into sales trends, customer behavior, and product performance — all in one interactive dashboard.
What I Learned
During this project, I learned how to:
Collect and clean e-commerce data from multiple sources.
Visualize key metrics such as revenue, order trends, and product popularity.
Use interactive charts and filters to make the dashboard user-friendly.
Apply basic analytics and statistics to derive actionable insights.
How I Built It
I built the dashboard using Python, Pandas for data processing, Plotly Dash for interactive visualizations, and SQLite for database management. The workflow includes:
Importing sales and customer data.
Cleaning and aggregating data for analysis.
Designing interactive charts (line charts, bar charts, pie charts) to visualize trends.
Deploying the dashboard for real-time data exploration.
Challenges Faced
Some challenges I faced included:
Handling missing or inconsistent data from different sources.
Optimizing the dashboard for performance with large datasets.
Designing intuitive filters and visualizations that provide actionable insights.
