💡 Inspiration: The "Why" Behind Sakhi

📌 Did you know? Over 300 Million women in rural India own smartphones but are completely excluded from the digital world. Why? Because the internet is built on text, but their reality is oral.

We saw our own mothers and grandmothers struggle every single day:

😰 Asking for help just to scan a simple UPI QR code.
💸 Terrified of clicking the "wrong button" and losing their hard-earned money.
🏥 Unable to search for basic maternal health advice because they can't type in English or formal Hindi.

We realized this isn't just a "UX problem"—it’s a human rights crisis. Telemedicine, digital payments, and government welfare are locked behind an invisible "Literacy Wall."

Furthermore, as conversation history grows, LLM context costs skyrocket at scale.

We built Sakhi to tear that wall down. We created an empathetic, voice-first companion (Sakhi = Female Friend) powered by Paritok 4B Token Compression to make digital equality affordable, instant, and accessible for the next billion users! 🇮🇳✨

🌿 Paritok Token Compression Engine: Automatically compresses multi-turn conversation history by ~74% before calling Bedrock, preserving critical safety context (like OTP fraud rules and emergency numbers 100, 108, 1091).

🧗 Challenges we ran into

🛡️ Preserving Fraud & Emergency Context: Compression can sometimes drop crucial details. We configured Paritok's preserve hints for safety terms like OTP, 100, 108, 1091, and doctor so security boundaries are never lost.
⚡ Sub-Second Voice Latency: Rural users expect immediate voice feedback. By pairing Paritok’s 75% faster context processing with Amazon Nova Lite, we cut turn-to-speech latency to < 1 second.
🎨 Unlearning Traditional UI: Hamburger menus and small icons failed during user testing. We switched to tactile neumorphic design with high-contrast, zero-scroll buttons.
