Inspiration
As we grow older, move cities, and start new chapters in life, staying in touch with old friends becomes harder. We miss the little things — the inside jokes, the random confessions, the late-night chats. SaidWho? was built to bring that feeling back. It’s a way for friends who can't always meet to stay updated on each other’s lives, share bits of themselves, and feel connected — even if they’re miles apart. And the best part? It’s all wrapped in laughter and mystery.
While making the game I suddenly remembered one of my sleepover with friends where we were playing game of “Truth or Dare.” One person blurted out a confession so wild that nobody believed it was real. Jokingly, someone said, “That sounds like something ChatGPT would write!” And boom — the idea was born. Why not mix the deepest secrets with AI-generated ones... and nobody could tell the difference?
And then we created SaidWho?- a game where human and machine confessions blend into hilarious guessing game. A fun and simple way to stay connected!
What it does
SaidWho? is a multiplayer game where each player writes a secret confession or fact about themselves. One extra confession is secretly generated by AI. Players have to: -Guess who wrote each confession -Figure out which one is fake (AI-generated) -Earn points for correct guesses It’s a mix of truth, bluffing, and deduction — with the added twist of fooling or catching the AI!
How we built it
We designed the game with: 1.Frontend for user input, timer, display of confessions, and score tracking 2.Backend logic to: -Collect anonymous confessions -Inject one AI-generated confession -Handle discussion timers and responses -Calculate scores based on guesses 3.AI integration to generate realistic-sounding fake confessions We focused on a simple user interface to make the experience smooth and engaging for players.
Challenges we ran into
1.Making the AI confession sound human enough without being too obvious 2.Randomizing confessions and maintaining anonymity 3.Keeping the game flow smooth with timers and real-time updates 4.Ensuring players can change their answers before final submission without confusion
Accomplishments that we're proud of
1.Creating a game that blends fun social interaction with AI guessing 2.A UI that balances clarity and energy. 3.Designing an easy-to-follow gameplay system 4.Making players doubt even their closest friends (in a fun way!) 5.Keeping it accessible for casual play but still mentally engaging
What we learned
1.How to balance AI-generated content with human interaction 2.Importance of timing and pacing in multiplayer games 3.User experience matters a lot — clarity and flow are everything 4.Even simple ideas become powerful with a fun twist
What's next for SaidWho?
1.Adding voice confession mode for extra fun 2.New themes: Truth-or-Dare, School Memories, College Life, etc. 3.Global leaderboards, badges, and friend invites 4.Custom AI personalities to match the vibe of different groups
