Inspiration
For 15 years, we built and killed over 300 side projects. We wrote code. We designed interfaces. But we never finished a book.
Not because we lacked ideas—those were overflowing. But because writing is painful. It's lonely. It’s perfectionism on steroids.
We realized this wasn’t just our struggle. Millions have brilliant ideas locked inside them—ideas that could change minds, spark movements, or touch hearts—yet they die unpublished.
SAGETOME was born to break that barrier.
What it does
SAGETOME is an AI-powered platform that takes just one prompt and transforms it into a fully structured, emotionally engaging, and publish-ready book—in under 60 seconds.
Fiction, nonfiction, self-help, sci-fi, business memoir? Done. Instantly. Automatically. On your phone.
It doesn't just write. It thinks. It outlines, adds tension, balances tone, and respects pacing like a professional editor.
How we built it
We built SAGETOME in 7 intense days—on zero sleep, sheer obsession, and a deep hatred of the blank page. Under the hood, it combines:
- Bolt.new for Frontend and logic
- Gootle AI and beyond
- Custom-trained prompt pipelines
- A narrative logic engine that simulates story arcs
- Dynamic tone modulation to match author intent
- A full of security serverless API.
- And a publishing-layer that outputs ready-to-edit EPUB/PDF/DOCX/Markdown Every book is unique. Every paragraph is structured. No fluff. No filler. Just thought-provoking, human-level writing.
Challenges we ran into
Building SAGETOME wasn’t just about calling an AI API. The real challenge was turning raw language generation into structured, book-worthy writing. We needed more than paragraphs — we needed coherence, flow, and intent.
We ran into:
-AI output that drifted off-topic mid-way through chapters -Tone that shifted unexpectedly from paragraph to paragraph -Repetitive sections or overly generic filler -Lack of chapter-level planning or narrative build-up To fix this, we built a custom chapter scaffold system, and spent days refining how we inject author intent and global structure into every generation.
Another challenge? User confidence.
People don’t just want a book — they want to feel ownership of it. So we added editability, style tweaking, and previews to help users shape the output into their voice. We’re still improving, but the foundation is solid — and users are finishing books they never thought possible.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
-Launched MVP and hit 200+ books generated in the first week -Helped first-time writers gain confidence and go live with their voice -One user created a children’s book series in a weekend and launched it with her daughter
What we learned
Most people don’t fear writing. They fear not being good enough. They fear starting. Finishing. Being judged. SAGETOME doesn’t replace creativity—it removes the resistance that kills it. It’s not a shortcut. It’s a permission slip to create without fear.
What's next for Sagetome-AI Book Generator
