Project Idea: Universal Wireless Charge-Sharing Module The Problem Phone-to-phone wireless charging exists today (Samsung PowerShare, Google Battery Share) — but only works between two flagship phones of the same ecosystem, needs zero cable, and offers no control over how much charge you're sharing. Most phones don't support it at all. There's no universal, cross-brand, controllable way to share battery between any two phones. Our Solution A small external hardware module that plugs into any phone's charging port (like an OTG adapter) and enables wireless charge sharing between two phones — with a smart, browser-based control interface that requires zero app installation. How It Works Both users plug the module into their phone's charging port The module auto-creates a local connection (WiFi hotspot/captive portal, like hotel WiFi login pages) and the phone's browser opens automatically — no app to download The sender's screen shows nearby phones that also have a module plugged in Sender selects the receiver's phone, sets: Charge limit (e.g., transfer up to 40% of their battery) Speed mode: Slow / Moderate / Turbo Sender sends a transfer request Receiver gets a prompt on their browser interface — Accept or Decline Once accepted, wireless charging begins between the two modules, with live progress shown on both screens Transfer auto-stops at the set limit, or either user can cancel anytime Why This Is Different Works across any phone brand — not locked to Samsung or Pixel flagships No app install needed — critical for emergencies, low storage, or people who've never heard of our app User-controlled — set exact limits and speed, unlike existing all-or-nothing reverse charging Same trusted pattern as WiFi router setup or airport WiFi login pages — proven, familiar tech applied to a new problem Hardware Core Microcontroller with built-in WiFi (e.g., ESP32) — hosts the local web interface and handles device-to-device communication Power management circuit — regulates and controls the actual current transfer Wireless power link between the two modules — near-contact range at launch Current Scope (Launch) Near-contact / few-cm range, phone-charging-safe power levels, full app-free browser control. Future Roadmap Extending range (30–40 cm+) as wireless power transfer technology matures. The Pitch Line "Any phone. No app. Just plug in, connect, and share power — like lending someone a cup of sugar, but for battery."
