Inspiration

High impact problematics in the modern world and how crime affects us and our sensation of safety

What it does

The SafeZone tool shows a heatmap of crime in Nuevo León, showing which counties have the most crime incidents for the user to be careful and aware.

How we built it

We took the statistics from Semaforo Delictivo, a government webpage that shows the type and total number of crimes in each county. We then made a mean of the data and used it to make a percentage of crime in those counties to be able to create an accurate, real heatmap.

What we learned

We learned a bunch of things, but most importantly, how to work as a team, dividing to work faster and we improved our abilities in the programming languages we used.
