Inspiration
The inspiration behind our product was the desire to help those who are vulnerable in public settings. We want people to enjoy their time in public while also feeling safe.
What it does
Safety Straw is a product that helps detect drugs within drinks. Upon detection of a drug, the straw will change colors to alert the user.
How we built it
We built a website by utilizing a MERN (MongoDB, ExpressJs, React, NodeJs) tech stack and the Stripe API.
Challenges we ran into
It was quite challenging to learn new technologies and coordinate so many moving parts with our team.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I think we did a pretty good job of putting a cohesive website together to market and sell the Safety Straw!
What we learned
We did our best to learn more about MERN technology and the Stripe API.
What's next for Safety Straw
We hope to continue to expand the site to meet the company's needs.
