Inspiration

It all started when one of the team got his bag stolen inside the airport, it was all crowded and loud and someone grabbed the bag opened it, and stole what was inside of it. many people worldwide suffer from these issues, either getting lost or stolen " luggage itself or the stuff inside it ". We were inspired by the accident that happened with the teammate and the first thing we said Why not solve the problem ourselves?!.

What it does

it's a mobile application that is connected to a device called STP it will be located in your luggage that will have a certain type of authentication to give access to the main board to open the bag peacefully, so if someone tries to open the bag with no authentication given from the user it will raise a very loud alarm and will send a notification to the user on the mobile app while providing the user with the bag's location. in other cases, someone could simply just take the bag and run! we have also solved this issue by adding a feature to the mobile application that will let the user customize the allowed distance between him/her and the bag, if the bag crossed the allowed distance an automatic notification will be sent to the user while raising the alarm.

How we built it

we are still building the application using React, while still implementing the device using different raw materials.

Challenges we ran into

of course, there are some challenging things we ran into such as: deciding what is the best technology that fits the user's needs and with the best cost possible, also understanding the business world and the current market, and the process of building a successful startup. the most important challenge we learned from is building the prototype and learning more about the technical part of the device.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

took 4th place in a JSPC competition among Jordan universities in a project about technology. participated in the Jordan12 program to help understand more about a business plan. _ _working on the prototype. built our own business plan for the company. working on the patent and registration.

What we learned

learned a lot about the world of business(how to build a business plan, how to deal with the current market, how to manage financial states), technical parts of the device (learn about different kinds of raw materials such as how to deal with a microprocessor, sensors and more. ), and web mobile development language(React.js, Express, MongoDB, nodeJS), better team working(how to deal with different ideas and combining them into one useful idea, time management, splitting a different kind of tasks).

working on finishing implementing the device and creating the last edition of the prototype. working on beginning the first steps of building our own startup. finish developing the mobile application
