Inspiration
I was inspired to make this product after the consequences of the shift in the education medium from physical to online, which brought about many problems, one of which is unauthorized access to classes by strangers which led to disruption of the classes and the ever decreasing amount of child-safe content that the child can be exposed to due to the medium.
What it does
It uses Cohere to identify profanity in text and reports it. It also uses Twilio for verifying users to protect from strangers. The app only creates private groups which can only be joined by people with an invite link , therefore allowing better privacy and protection.
What's next for SafeStudy
The app can further integrate profanity detection using AssemblyAI to transcript video and audio calls and detecting profanity in the text using cohere.
