About the project
Inspiration
The rise in cyber threats has left many users vulnerable due to a lack of online safety awareness. My goal is to simplify cybersecurity, educate users on common scams, and provide practical solutions for safeguarding personal data. I aim to create a safer online space where individuals can confidently protect themselves from digital threats.
What It Does
SafeSphere educates users about cybersecurity, highlighting cyber scams, safety practices, and offering solutions to protect personal data. The site features an engaging carousel interface, providing easy access to information and actionable advice for safe online navigation. Users can explore tips, learn to identify threats, and take steps to improve their online security.
How i Built It
I built this beginner-friendly project using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The HTML structures the content, CSS designs the interface, and JavaScript adds interactivity, including smooth animations and carousels. The project was focused on simplicity and accessibility, making it easy for anyone to learn and engage with cybersecurity tips.
Challenges i Ran Into
As beginners, i encountered challenges with creating a responsive and visually appealing carousel. Managing animations, ensuring smooth transitions, and debugging JavaScript required persistence.
What i Learned
This project taught me how to implement dynamic features, such as carousels and responsive layouts, using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I gained practical experience with animations, optimizing user interfaces, and ensuring accessibility, all while improving my overall web development skills.
What's Next for SafeSphere
I plan to enhance SafeSphere by adding interactive features like real-time alerts, personalized scam prevention tips, and a blog for deeper insights into cybersecurity. I also aim to develop a mobile app to make awareness about social media scams and international calling safety will further help users navigate potential risks.
