Inspiration Every time I go out to get some essentials, I see people standing too close and talking, or working together without a mask and have forgotten about the distance they should keep to ensure safely of themselves and the others. I could not stop thinking about it and sometimes it was even difficult for me because without me realising, I would be sitting next to someone somewhere too close. And sometimes it can get a bit awkward for someone if they have to remind me. I just wanted someone or something to remind me to keep safe distance, if I forget or not realise.

Solution: Not reinventing the wheel, just using the same existing Bluetooth scanners to scan for devices nearby and warns the owner if they are too close to someone nearby.

What it does Based on the strength of the signal, it will notify the owner to ensure safe distance. There will be 2 kinds of notification. 1 Warning notification when the strength is 0 to -60

Gentle Reminder Notification-61 to -70 There are some exclusions.

Allowing users up to 20 Bluetooth devices to ignore as they could be their own of their families devices. Disregarding car Bluetooth - Usually having the key word as the company name. e.g. Honda-091291X9B How I built it Haven't build it yet. Could not get a developer so I decided to go solo. Instead I searched for any free mobile Bluetooth scanner apps. And sent email to one of them regarding my proposal. I have confirmation email from them that they will build this app and will be publish next week.

Challenges I ran into Could not find a developer who could help. anyone willing to join was from different timezone so collaborating was quite difficult.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of I have created a wireframe. I also shared the Idea with one of the Bluetooth scanner company called Bluepixel Technologies who is currently working to implement this.

What I learned It is not easy to find a team.

What's next for SafeSpace It is going to go live in a week but will be re-branded by Bluepixel Technologies LLP.
