Inspiration
We were inspired by the #metoo movement that has been happening recently, people speaking out to protect others. We wanted everyone to be able to feel safe in professional environments.
What it does
This website lets people know before they attend a school or start a new job about potential threats and lets people share their stories.
How I built it
We built it using repl.it with HTML and CSS
Challenges I ran into
A major challenge we ran into was connecting the "front end" of HTML with the "back end" of a python server.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm proud to have finished this because I had never worked with HTML, Java or CSS before today.
What I learned
I learned more about building and hosting a website completely from scratch.
What's next for SafeSpace
I want to finish it and make it much more polished, but to do that I need to learn more about these languages and programming in general.
