How we built it

Safescape was developed using AWS Partyrock as the core technology, with meticulous attention to detail from inception to deployment. Through extensive research, we identified user needs and mapped out the inputs and outputs essential for effective disaster preparedness. Leveraging AWS Partyrock's capabilities, we crafted an intuitive user interface and integrated a chatbot feature to engage users in interactive learning. Our iterative development process ensured continuous refinement, resulting in a robust and user-friendly solution. After rigorous testing, Safescape was deployed on the AWS Partyrock platform, ready to empower individuals and communities with the knowledge and resources needed to navigate disasters effectively.

Challenges we ran into

Creating Safescape was quite a journey for us as teenagers. We faced some tough challenges along the way. Figuring out how to fit all the different pieces together in the app was tricky. We also had to make sure the information Safescape provided was right and easy to understand. Sometimes, it was hard to keep up with all the changes and new things we needed to learn.We kept trying new ideas and working together. In the end, we made Safescape into a helpful tool that anyone can use to stay safe during disasters.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

One unique aspect of our journey with Safescape is the fusion of our youthful energy with a deep commitment to learning and innovation. As teenagers, delving into the world of app development was both daunting and exhilarating. We're immensely proud of how we navigated this unfamiliar terrain, learning new skills, such as mastering AWS Partyrock, through sheer determination and relentless curiosity. Despite juggling demanding college schedules, we dedicated countless late nights to Safescape, fueled by our shared passion for creating something meaningful. Our ability to overcome challenges, fueled by youthful enthusiasm and a thirst for knowledge, exemplifies the power of youthful ingenuity and resilience.
