Inspiration
An map-centric application (e.g. Google Maps or Waze or Apple Map) has become an intrinsic part of our day to day life, which provides us the shortest or the fastest route to travel from one to another and / or provides us with information like gas stations, coffee shops, diners etc along the route chosen or for any pin dropped on the map either on or around the route or at random. Our application draws inspiration from the above and tries to provide COVID-19 related information along the route or for any location(s) where a pin(s) are dropped in a GPS map.
What it does
This Saferoute application facilitates the user with relevant information along his chosen path on a map helping him to have a convenient, safe, risk balanced journey in the time of COVID19.
- Identity the latitude and the longitude
- Or the pin-code based on the GPS pins AND provide following information (and more) for each of the pins (and therefore for the entire route)
- Risk of infection for the place o Number of people infected o Any other relevant demographics which can be traced to risk profile for that pincode (Geo) o Etc (to be discussed)
- Healthcare information o Nearest testing location(s) o Number to call if you are sick o Nearest hospitals or health centers o Etc (to be discussed)
- Health related supplies o Nearest place where you find masks, gloves, Clorox wipes etc etc etc
- Other information (such as one found in Waze) - gas station, coffee shop etc etc etc
