Inspiration

There is a lot of road damage in our area.

What it does

It utilizes an algorithm to sense bumps in the road using the phone's accelerometer and gyroscope. The manual reports also read picture metadata, which gets the exact location and date that the picture was taken, to ensure that the government can easily find the damage. There is also a machine learning implementation that detects if the image has potholes to minimize spam reports.

How we built it

We used android studio, google sheets api, and firebase.

Challenges we ran into

There was a lot of debugging with firebase and it was hard to make a good UI in Android Studio.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a ticketing system, an algorithm, and a working machine learning model.
