SafeLink is a beginner-friendly cybersecurity web tool designed to help users identify common suspicious patterns in website URLs before clicking them.
The tool analyzes a submitted URL for indicators such as missing HTTPS, unusually long URLs, @ symbols, IP-address-based URLs, and commonly abused keywords. It then provides a simple risk indication along with practical online safety tips.
SafeLink focuses on cybersecurity awareness and safer browsing habits. It performs local URL analysis and does not open, scan, or attempt unauthorized access to websites. It is an educational prototype and its results should not be treated as a guarantee that a website is safe or malicious.
The project was built using HTML, CSS, and Javascript
