Inspiration

My grandma, after a certain point of time used to lose her motor skills at times and slip and fall often. During nights, when she gets up to do her business (she doesn't switch on the lights, as the rest of us are sleeping) , at times she slips and falls on the way or in the restroom and we get to know that she fell pretty late. We tell her to wake someone of us up, so that we can help her but she doesn't as she feels it is wrong to wake us up. So i want to build a device that can be attached to her clothing, a small enough device, only during night, so that when she gets up in the night, it sends an alert to my smart phone/smart watch, so that we can get up and help her.

This device can be extended for sending out signals / monitoring any elderly / kid's activity to my smart phone , smart watch even when we are not at home.

What i figured out is the elderly are not very fond of we tracking devices like these, so the smaller the device they dont even know that they have it, as safety first. Atleast during the day, we are there to help, but during nights, when all of us are asleep, we do want to help them.

My grandma is no longer with us. My grandpa is going through the same phase, so i want to build a system to help him and all other elderly people and their loved ones.
