Inspiration

Fake job scams and fraudulent employers are on the rise daily. Many students and job seekers lose money, time, and trust because corporate entities are not properly verified on hiring platforms. We built TrueCompany Shield to create a secure ecosystem where job seekers can verify employer legitimacy before hitting apply.

What it does

TrueCompany Shield is an AI-powered cybersecurity platform designed for safe and verified hiring. It validates corporate credentials through government APIs (GST/CIN status), analyzes recruiter messages for scam patterns using an advanced NLP engine, and flags hidden risks. It features a student safety dashboard, a mock employer dashboard, and a Chrome extension for real-time safety scores while browsing job sites like LinkedIn.

How we built it

We engineered the core workflows using OpenAI's GPT-5.6 and Codex. Codex significantly accelerated our development process by generating backend logic for API simulation, structuring data architectures, and managing automated database sync protocols. The user interface was built to deliver distinct, cohesive user experiences across student, employer, and cyber enforcement hub states.

Challenges we faced

Connecting real-time Chrome extension scripts with our automated risk scoring engine while maintaining low latency was a major hurdle. Fine-tuning the NLP engine to recognize sophisticated recruitment fraud and malicious payment links without triggering false positives on legitimate employment offers also required thorough testing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully created a working multi-layered defense system that addresses a massive real-world trust issue. We are proud of designing a highly intuitive Chrome extension preview and an interactive workflow simulator that provides clear, actionable risk intelligence for both applicants and enforcement teams.

What we learned

We learned how to orchestrate automated, agentic code structures using advanced AI development tools. This project deepened our understanding of building data-driven security platforms and creating comprehensive analytical dashboards for complex verification networks.

What's next for TrueCompany Shield

Next, we plan to transition from simulated databases to live production integrations with official corporate registries and FSSAI/government verification nodes. We also intend to roll out advanced predictive models to counter next-generation automated phishing tactics across international job boards.
