Inspiration

Throughout this pandemic, healthcare workers have been relentlessly fighting in the front-lines to save lives. With most people returning to work, prevention will become exponentially more difficult. We need to do our part and improve safety for everyone by implementing systems to help minimize risk and contagion.

What it does

Safe Workplace Robot is an AI-enabled software solution for keeping people safe at their workplace.

Main objectives

  1. Make workplaces safe for employees
  2. Help companies and organizations prevent future shut-downs
  3. Assist the economy by keeping people healthy

How I built it

The current build is a PoC focused on:

  • Automatic detection of people not wearing basic protection gear
  • Automatic detection of close proximity groups and crowding
  • Automatic contact-less high temperature detection checkpoints

Programming languages: C++, Python, C# Libraries: tensorflow, OpenCV, .net

Designing a high-impact solution to help as many companies and organizations as possible during this crisis.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Applying expertise from years of developing and deploying Computer Vision solutions towards solving the difficult problem of prevention during the following months of the COVID-19 pandemic.

What I learned

Throughout these challenging times we need to increase our collaborative efforts. Together we can develop high-impact solutions to overcome the current crisis and be more prepared for what the future brings.
