Inspiration
We are living in tumultuous times, and our mental health has been severely affected by today's climate. Having experienced mental health battles ourselves, we knew first hand how important it is to have a tool that could help us work towards our mental health goals. Although we did not have time to create an entire app in one day, we were able to create a thorough prototype of the app we will create in the future.
What it does
Safe Space is designed to help you better understand your feelings, anxiety, stress, and mental health challenges. Safe Space is self guided and completely personalized to you.
How we built it
We used Axure Prototyping Software to make this prototype! We used UI/UX concepts to design the interfaced.
Challenges we ran into
We were unfamiliar with C# prior to making this prototype, so we had some difficulties in grasping the language.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that the app is adaptable based on the user's goals and is personalized to them. It tracks daily progress, has reminders to keep them on track, and helps them practice self care.
What we learned
We learned how to use Axure Prototyping Software, C#, and .net. We improved in various areas of UI/UX design, like color, typography, layout, design process, and more.
What's next for Safe Space: A Mental Health App
We are looking to actually build and code the app based on this prototype. We plan on adding a discussion board that allows users to interact with each other. The goal is for users to build a support system with people who understand their experiences.
