Inspiration
The issue of budget cuts within my home state
What it does
links recent news on educational economic problems and allows students to share their voices on the forum page.
How we built it
I built it using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the VSCode IDE. The extension Live server was used for website demo and live preview.
Challenges we ran into
Figuring out how to create a database for logging in. Creating a dynamic forum page (it was hard coded instead for demo purposes)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Figuring out log in databases.
What we learned
I learned more about front-end development. I am more experienced in back-end development, so learning front-end for the first time as a beginner was a curve.
What's next for SAFE Scholars
I hope to grow the website and create a team to make it more robust, so it can be a real site used world wide for everyone's voice. I also would like the posts for forums and news articles to be dynamic in the future once it can be figured out.
