Safe Haven

S.H is an easy use application for student safety features like quick campus dialing, and incident reports so there's more in depth knowledge on what's going on your campus and where it is happening.

Walking home alone feels very unsafe not knowing real time updates about incidents. Reddit feeds and campus security takes huge delays in relaying information to students actively on campus, so Safe Haven is a way to combat this issue.

Provides and platform for students to update on reports, see unsafe areas and or issues actively going on or in the past. Helps to create a safe navigation home so you can get back to studying!

Heavily studied UI/UX practices to implement what we learned this weekend to are app development process. Python and Tkinter for the map reporting system and Figma for the application development.

Communicating Python to Figma, took a lot of trial and error.

We all learned a lot about UI/UX as well as first time designing an application. As well we are proud of our product because its an application we would actually really like to have actively working.

Creating University of Waterloo and McMaster University campus interactive map, deployment, character avatar edits, walk with a friend feature.
