Inspiration
In India the Covid-19 pandemic is again rising a exceptionally, the people are still not aware enough to protect themselves from this virus, the oxygen sypply, the hospital beds are becoming low in numbers still the people in the public places are reckless enough to maintain anything, So I thought of giving it a change by making a smart device to protect and aware people from this pandemic.
What it does
It basically checks the temperature of every person contactlessly through two modes, one is the IR temperature sensor and the other is the thermal imaging camera in the JetSon Nano, and stream the live live CCTV fotage of every person entering along with the live COVID Tracker displaying the numbers of active cases around world and around the India to raise awareness.
If the person is having the normal temperature then the system will turn the RGB-LED green and it will revolve around cycling manner indicating every thing is good and opens the door to let the coustomer or the person to enter.
But If anyone is having fever, then it will detect it, it will turn on the buzzer to let the security know about that thing and will also send a SMS to the authority along with that it will freeze the CCTV video by capturing the person's face using face and eye detection and will remain in the screen for 20 sec. Along with that it will also send that image to the app that is provided to the authority so they can take care about the situation and can also take necessary action in order to make everyone safe.
How we built it
We had built it with a BOLT wifi module, Arduino , Jetson nano, thermal camera, IR temp. sensor, Proximity sensor, RGB LED ring, Buzzer , laser module, Rasp V2 camera, OLED display.
We had bulit the app using MIT app Inventory and also had made the Image forwarding process using IBM cloud.
Challenges we ran into
The challenges that we had been through are as follows:-
The exact distance where the body temp. have to be measure so that no variation is there and higher accuracy. 2.How to set up the thermal camera. Turning the RGB led in a cyclic manner. Sending the image to the app using IBM Object storage.

What's next for Safe-Covid system
Though we thought of using some ML here in our project but due to the limited time span we could not do so and our features are limited. We can also include Social Distancing Detection using ML We can also detect if a perticular place is being over-crowded using ML.
