Safar-Guard comes from a real place for me. I am from Sudan, and I know that not traveling somewhere “dangerous” is not always an option. Sometimes your family needs you. Sometimes you have to go home even when the news or the travel websites tell you not to. What people actually need is not fear or broad warnings but clear information about what is happening on the ground.

I built Safar-Guard because I wanted something simple that helps both travelers and the people who live there understand what diseases are moving and what symptoms to look out for. A tool that does not require a strong internet connection and does not overwhelm people with medical language.

This project taught me a lot. It was my first time using Tailwind. It was my first time using almost everything besides plain JavaScript. I learned how to structure components better and how to make a UI feel natural. I also learned how hard it is to make information both accurate and simple enough for people to actually use.

Safar-Guard comes from the belief that information can keep people from being caught off guard. For anyone who has to travel into uncertain situations, this tool gives them a clearer sense of what they might face and how to stay safer.
