SadaqahShare is a community-driven platform that connects donors with local mosques and their real-time needs.

Instead of simply donating money and wondering where it goes, SadaqahShare allows donors to see what their local mosque actually needs, pledge items or funds, earn community tokens, and use those tokens to participate in decisions that affect the mosque.

Charitable giving is powerful, but donors often face a lack of visibility into what their local communities actually need.

At the same time, mosques and community organizations may struggle to:

  • Communicate their current needs to their community
  • Organize donations
  • Coordinate physical and monetary contributions
  • Engage donors beyond a one-time donation
  • Give their community a meaningful voice in local decisions

Donor dashboards provide an overview of pledged items, earned tokens, total pledges, active polls, and donation history.

The application includes dedicated mosque authentication and dashboard experiences alongside the donor workflow.

One of SadaqahShare's core ideas is that donating isn't the end of participation.

Donors earn tokens through their contributions. Those tokens can then be spent on active community polls.

This creates a feedback loop:

Donate → Earn Tokens → Participate → Influence Community Decisions

Tokens are tracked per mosque, meaning participation is tied to the communities donors actually support.

1. Find a Mosque

A donor can browse available mosques and search by name or city.

2. Discover Community Needs

Each mosque can publish specific needs so donors can see where their contributions can have the greatest impact.

3. Make a Contribution

A donor can pledge:

Physical donations can be designated for shipping or drop-off.

4. Earn Community Tokens

Contributions generate SadaqahShare Tokens associated with the mosque receiving the contribution.

5. Participate in Decisions

Mosques can create polls for their communities.

Donors can spend their mosque-specific tokens to vote on active polls.

6. Track Your Impact

The donor dashboard keeps track of:

  • Items pledged
  • Tokens earned
  • Total pledges
  • Donation status
  • Active community polls

🎯 Why We Built It

SadaqahShare was created around a simple idea:

Charity should connect people to their communities, not just transactions.

Traditional donation platforms often focus on moving money from one person to another.

SadaqahShare aims to create something more community-oriented — a platform where giving creates participation and create community engagement.

The goal is to make charitable contributions more transparent, organized, and engaging while helping mosques communicate their needs directly to the people who support them.
