Inspiration

We are surrounded by students who struggle to pay for school!

What it does

It connects sponsors with students to help them pay for school.

How we built it

We used react, typescript, and tailwind which we were familiar with. We built out static pages with dummy data and then slowly implemented our firebase database.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into problems creating the project because tailwindui components wouldn't render and we weren't familiar with nextjs which is serverside rendering.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a mostly functional full stack application that we can build upon in the future.

What we learned

We learned that the setup is important and is a key to creating a successful app. We all learned more about the languages we used.

What's next for Sabio Scholars

We will keep working on it as we finish up school and see where it goes.
