To give an opportunity to the education ecosystem to sustain itself. If i have a pair of shoe i no longer use, am i willing to share it with you who doesn't have? Students who do not have access to resources such as textbooks and yet others have them in their homes and are not using them therefore they can exchange through the platform

What it does

The web platform is used for exchanging resources such as textbooks, chairs and other classroom effects where the owner can either donate or sell them through the platform.

How we built it

Our E-commerce web application is built using a combination of the JavaScript and the python language. The UI/UX design was done using Adobe XD. The CSS styles and layout were first done in Adobe XD before we started implementing in building the frontend and backend of the web app. The web framework was designed and built using Django, which is a high-level Python Web framework that encourages rapid development and clean, pragmatic design. The front end was built and integrated using JavaScript. react js which is an open-source JavaScript library that is used for building user interfaces specifically for single-page applications was used and also node js which is a platform built on Chrome's JavaScript runtime for easily building fast and scalable network applications Our web app is used to connect the buyer and the seller together, so we did not need to create a sophisticated online payment system for the buyers as the buyers just need to retrieve the contact of the seller from the products page and proceed individually from there. A MySQL database is used to store the seller’s details and product list for the E-commerce web app. We used azure DevOps and Azure App service for task assignments, continuous integration and deployment.

Challenges we ran into

Flexibility among the team members Internet connectivity issues Underestimating the time factor.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Staying together till the very end, we even cried together. In turns though on the last day. Submitting most videos on time Being able to work together to build the web platform

What we learned

To create something of value we all have to give ourselves to achieving it. New skills such as team work and delegation of tasks. New programming languages and frameworks

What's next for Sabify-Edchange

We would like to be able to build it into a full functioning web platform that it may be able to help the resource problem facing education. Most importantly our friendship and functionality as a team should remain.
