SaafLahore
What it is: SaafLahore is a civic-tech platform for Lahore's waste management system — built as a bridge between citizens, cleanup contractors, and the government body (LWMC) that manages them. It has two connected sides in one app: a citizen app where residents report garbage and missed pickups, and a command dashboard where supervisors dispatch cleanup squads and track performance across the city.
The core idea: right now, contractors report their own work as "done," and there's no way to check if that's true. SaafLahore closes that loop — every cleanup claim has to be GPS-verified and then approved by the actual citizen who complained, before it counts as resolved. On top of that, an AI layer reads photos to auto-assess how urgent a mess is, and an algorithm ranks every street city-wide so supervisors always know where to send help first.
In short: it's a full reporting-to-resolution pipeline, with a built-in lie detector.
The features that will make them lean forward
Fraud-Proof Verification Engine GPS + timestamp checks (within 30m, after must follow before) mean a contractor can't reuse an old photo or fake a location.
Citizen Veto Power The person who reported the mess gets final approval on closure — reject it, and it auto-escalates.
AI Street Doctor Snap a photo → Gemini AI reads severity, volume, hazard level, and recommends the response instantly.
The system that runs itself
- SLA Urgency Algorithm — ranks every street by a real formula so the worst spots surface first.
- Live Command Dashboard — GIS map, one-tap squad dispatch.
- Zone Accountability Grades (A+ to F) — every union council scored and ranked.
The everyday essentials
- Citizen & Admin Auth — separate login flows for residents vs. staff.
- One-Tap Reporting — camera, location, and description in one flow.
- Street Search & Status— find any street, see live cleanup status.
- Fleet & Team Roster — track vehicles, drivers, availability.
- Report History & Profile — citizens see every report and its outcome.
- Offline-Ready Data — persists even without a live backend.
