Inspiration In today's fast-paced world, writing skills are more important than ever, but many kids struggle to find engaging ways to practice and improve. Traditional methods can feel tedious, and children often miss out on the joy of creating stories. We wanted to change that by combining the latest in Mixed Reality (MR) technology with the excitement of gamification and storytelling. Our goal is to make learning to write not only effective but also a fun and immersive experience that sparks creativity.

What it does WriteRight is an innovative MR app that teaches kids how to write using the Logitech MX Ink Stylus. The app immerses children in captivating stories where they practice writing, tracing letters, and forming words as part of the narrative. By completing various levels and challenges, kids improve their handwriting skills while having fun. The combination of gamified learning and storytelling ensures that writing becomes an adventure rather than a chore.

How we built it We built WriteRight using MetaSDK, incorporating Passthrough for a seamless MR experience, MR Utility Kit for interactive elements, scene Understanding. The integration of the Logitech MX Ink Stylus allows for precise writing practice, making the app both engaging and educational.

Challenges we ran into One of the biggest challenges was creating a writing environment that felt natural and intuitive in Mixed Reality. Aligning virtual writing with the real world,. This system ensures that the logitech pen feels like a real one making writing practice smooth and effective.

Accomplishments that we're proud of We’re particularly proud of our innovative education way , which provides a highly accurate and responsive writing experience. This breakthrough allows kids to write naturally, with the app adjusting to their unique handwriting style.

What we learned Through this project, we learned how to build a complex MR app from the ground up, working extensively with the Meta Presence platform. We also gained valuable insights into how to create an engaging educational experience that balances learning with play.

What's next for WriteRight Our next steps involve gathering feedback from users and educators to refine the app further. Based on this feedback, we plan to enhance the storytelling elements and expand the range of writing challenges, learning languages, cusrive writing and calligraphy trainigs . If the response is positive, we will continue to develop WriteRight into the go-to tool for kids to master writing skills in a fun, immersive way.
