Inspiration
We struggled as friends to find new and exciting places to hangout at outside of school
What it does
It provides teens with safe, fun places to hangout at while giving their parents a sense of comfort knowing about the places and how safe they are.
How we built it
We used code.org to code the app and ibs paint for the graphics
Challenges we ran into
We struggled with the coding process because we wanted to make the app in ReactNative, but we really struggled with learning JavaScript so we switched to code.org
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We finished before the deadline. We were scared that we weren't going to have any time to finish the app and the video, but I am really proud of us for rising to the challenge.
What we learned
We learned a little bit about JavaScript and we learned how to better communicate
What's next for S.P.O.T.
We hope to partner with school systems in order to make the app safer for teens
