Inspiration
SeaGlide, an underwater robotics completion allowed for everyone to get a taste of the factors and challenges that need to be taken into account when working with the ocean terrain. This hooked all of our teammates interests which led us to picking Marine Biology Robotics for our topic and this allowed for us to expand our knowledge on the field.
What it does
Our project is a Robot that autonomously travels the ocean and our website walks you through the steps and process of the journey. Additionally on the website you can put in a few measurements for your robot and it will tell you whether or not your robot will float or sink.
How I built it
We used qoom for our html, css and javascript programming, used autodesk inventor for our 3D modeling and EchoAR to work with interactive 3D models.
Challenges I ran into
As expected, code most times doesn't work the first time and there is sometimes a large lurking curve involved, it took time to learn the language and debug the errors faced after.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Learning and designing a website that was built on clearly understandable code with unique and distinctive features.
What I learned
HTML, CSS, Javascript
