Inspiration

Throughout the pandemic, many small businesses have struggled to get by. However, through TikTok, we have been introduced to many small businesses and had the opportunity to get to know the people behind the product. The small business promotions on TikTok greatly inspired the idea of Rveal.

What it does

Rveal is the perfect alternative to shopping at big corporations and suppliers. Often, small businesses specialize in a few items so consumers find it hard to consistently shop at small businesses. However, Rveal allows all female owned small businesses to gather in one spot allowing users to shop at multiple small businesses at once. Through it's female exclusivity, Rveal empowers and supports females.

How we built it

Rveal was build fully on figma.

Challenges we ran into

Prior to developing Rveal, our team had little experience with figma. We especially had trouble with scrolling and using components. A lot of the help online for figma was very old so it was hard finding the solutions we needed. However, after extensive researching and youtube browsing, we were able to include a horizontal scrolling feature on two different pages and use components efficiently on every page.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're very proud of our growth on figma. We learned a lot about the application and about UX/UI design.

What we learned

We learned a lot about figma and how to use the tools efficiently. We also learned about UX/UI trends and how to translate our ideas into a visual application.

What's next for Rveal

Since our current version is simply a protoype, some features we'd like to include in our higher protoypes include a login feature, review writing, a community post feature, and direct communication with the shop owners.
