Ruupa

Ruupa - a free I Ching app, helps you find yourself. With this ancient mystical art of interpretive reading through the asking of questions, you too can come closer to understanding the universe and yourself in it. Through Ruupa, you can divine, learn what is possible* and archive your results on your device for reference later.

My Background: I have spent the last 2 years studying the art of I Ching, and though I have not mastered it yet, I have learned that to find answers we must seek questions. I Ching can be used for spreading happiness, increasing productivity or reducing stress: it is up to how I use. To this end, I have found I Ching to offer the most conspicuous interpretation. I have, however, had little luck in finding a good and useable I Ching app. Thus, I embarked on a quest to build an easy to use, all in one, application for us to find answers for the questions that we seek.

Technical Details: Indexed Database is on same-origin policy, so records are only accessible on ruupa.0ad.info from the browser. Divination and archive can be done offline. Our application archives records locally on the device for iOS, Android and modern web browsers. Indexed Database, one of the features of HTML5, is a database operating in the browsers. iOS Safari, Firefox on Android, the Android Browser, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Internet Explorer and Safari support Indexed Database. But this technology is not finalized by W3C yet, so you may experience bugs. I sincerely apologize for this and invite you to email me about it.
