Inspiration

We wanted to build a platform that collects and catalogs CVV2 and digital access data in real-time, giving security researchers and analysts a tool to monitor evolving underground trends.

What it does

RussianMarket aggregates and organizes fresh credit card dumps (CVV2), offering advanced search, filtering, and analytics tools. It also tracks access credentials like RDP, helping researchers study cybercrime patterns.

How we built it

We used Node.js and Express for the backend, MongoDB for data storage, and Puppeteer for automation and scraping. The platform runs through the Tor network for privacy and deploys via Docker on a secured VPS.

Challenges we ran into

Balancing data freshness with performance was tough. We also had to deal with rotating proxies, CAPTCHA-solving, and making sure the UI stayed responsive under high loads.

What we learned

We gained deep insight into darknet data structures and automated scraping, while also learning about ethical boundaries, research compliance, and anonymized infrastructure design.
