Inspiration

It was a hackathon project and we came across the Be Wise With Your Rupee guidelines from Punjab and Sind Bank, it felt clear that India needs something simple, friendly and actually helpful. That idea pushed us to build RupeeBee as a fun and safe way to learn about money.

What it does

RupeeBee makes financial learning easy through quizzes, videos and simple explanations. It has a large set of calculators for tax, loans, savings and investments that are made for Indian users. The app also shares helpful money tips and focuses on scam awareness so users can stay safe while learning. Everything is available in multiple languages so more people can use it comfortably.

How I built it

We built RupeeBee using Flutter so it works on Android, iOS and Web with one codebase. Dart kept the logic clean and smooth, and Riverpod helped us manage state without mess. Supabase handled authentication we deployed ML models on GCP and connected it via APIs.

Challenges I ran into

Our biggest challenge was explaining financial concepts in a way that feels simple but not boring. Adding multiple languages while keeping the design neat took a lot of work. Balancing security with a smooth user experience was also tough. Scam awareness was another challenge because scams keep changing, and we had to decide which features to build first within limited time.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are proud that we completed a working version with all important features running well. The UI feels friendly, and early testers actually enjoyed using it, which made us really happy. We built the app in a way that can grow easily with new features, and we included financial safety ideas right from the start.

What I learned

We learned that simplicity is the most important part of a good app. Picking the right tech stack saved us a lot of time.

What's next for RupeeBee App

We want to add fun elements like badges and challenges and explore partnerships with banks and fintech companies. Our goal is to expand RupeeBee into a complete financial guidance companion.
