Inspiration

I'm a big fan of Operating Systems and especially those that weren't built by Microsoft.

What it does

Showcases what might have been a dominant Operating System in today's world.

How we built it

The installation disks for OS/2 are available in the form of floppy disk images, which can be either put together and used as a single installation disk or more authentically, or by mounting / unmounting disks as requested by the installer. The installation is run on VirtualBox on a VM with two cores and 512 MB RAM dedicated to it.

Challenges we ran into

The operating system, being more than a decade old, has a very unique installation process much like how Windows XP install works. Additionally, there is also the disk swapping which makes the task a bit more confusing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Everything works as expected.
