Anything even approaching NetHack is too much to do in 24 hours, so I set out to build the basics of a NetHack like environment consisting of one building that you need to escape from. Where NetHack uses a variety of tools, weapons, spells, potions, and scrolls, APIs with real world data can be used to interact with enemies or other beings in a game environment. My idea for WildHacks was to use Venmo as a mechanism for bribing a guard to let our hero pass.
