Inspiration

From our personal experiences, we were having trouble finding activities currently happening on campus and our lack of awareness of these events contributed to the inspiration of this project.

What it does

Our web application is called RUBoard which is a website that allows students who are bored and seeking entertainment to come together and bond over a variety of different activities.

How we built it

The technologies that we used include front-end languages like HTML, CSS, and Javascript with VSCode, contributing to the UI/UX category of computer science.

Challenges we ran into

Some obstacles that we faced in our coding journey include structural issues where the code got a little messy which caused confusion. We had some struggles with some of the buttons and their functions. Luckily after a thorough cleanup and revamp, we managed to implement these buttons in new, unique ways, further enhancing our website.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that our website is up and running smoothly as expected. We also are proud of our aesthetic efforts that we put into it as well.

What we learned

We learned more about HTML, CSS, Javascript and their functionality and uses further and how they can be implemented.

What's next for RUBoard~

We plan to update the website with new tabs and activity categories so that students can have a wider array of options.
