Inspiration

Upon seeing the theme of pirates, I instantly thought of pirate ships. I was wondering about how I could make my project related to pirates but still be helpful. I eventually thought of the idea of pirates collecting trash instead of treasure, cleaning out the ocean and helping the environment.

What it does

Rubbish Raiders is a multiplayer game where you compete against other pirates/players to collect the most trash while also fighting with cannons.

How we built it

Rubbish Raiders was developed in Unity using C#.

Challenges we ran into

There were lots of bugs syncing data between clients, but with enough testing most of them were fixed.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully adding multiplayer.

What we learned

I learned how to fix a lot of problems related to multiplayer that will aid in future multiplayer development.

What's next for Rubbish Raiders

AIs/Bots to play against offline and modes where you can team up with other people.
