Lack of critical material to face COVID-19 in europe

What it does

An European Platform that master the ability to move production and supply chain services among vendors by using interchangeable and standard products and services, relying on similar and even identical plant designs, work processes or type of logistic service.

How I built it

Challenges I ran into

If a Supply Chain is not closely "allied" with a small group of suppliers, its supplier network had better be extensive, and potentailly open to whoever qualified, if it is to be resilient and responsive to unpredictable demand or whatever distruption. Maintaining a large network of arm’s-length suppliers would distribute the risk should a failure or whatever distruption occur. The issue is to choose shared approaches, rules and qualification procedures that align a supplier relationship with the procurement requirements which might be an emergency response or a going business need.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

What I learned

What's next for "European Resilient Value Chain"

  • gather skilled resources for the design of online collaboration platforms
  • gather skilled resources for the design of modular and standardized value chains
  • gather skilled resources on the purchase of manufacturing and supply chain services
  • design a basic method of collaboration in a potentially one off supply chain
