RozOps
Inspiration
Recurring local businesses are the backbone of every neighborhood, yet many still run on notebooks, WhatsApp messages, phone calls, and memory. During conversations with milk vendors and other recurring-delivery businesses, we saw the same problems repeatedly: customers paused deliveries through WhatsApp, changed quantities at the last minute, forgot payments, and expected accurate monthly bills. Business owners spent hours every day updating records manually, preparing delivery lists, and resolving billing disputes.
We realized these businesses didn't need another billing app—they needed an operating system that understands their daily workflow. That insight inspired RozOps.
What It Does
RozOps is an AI Operating System for recurring local businesses.
Every morning, RozOps automatically prepares today's deliveries based on active subscriptions, vacation holds, and quantity changes. Merchants can complete deliveries, generate invoices, track payments, and monitor business performance from a single dashboard, while customers manage their own subscriptions and requests through a self-service portal.
Although our first pilot focuses on milk delivery businesses, the platform is designed to support many recurring-service industries, including:
- Milk delivery
- Water can suppliers
- Kirana stores
- Newspaper delivery
- Laundry services
- Tiffin services
- Flower delivery
- Egg delivery
- Vegetable delivery

How We Built It
RozOps was built as a modern full-stack SaaS platform.
Frontend
- React
- Tailwind CSS
- Responsive UI
- Recharts
- Supabase JavaScript SDK
The application includes separate experiences for the public website, merchant portal, customer portal, and platform administration.
Backend
The backend is powered by FastAPI with modular routers responsible for:
- Authentication
- Merchant Operations
- Customer Workflows
- Subscription Management
- Billing & Invoicing
- Payments
- Reporting
- AI Operations
- Platform Administration
Data Layer
Supabase powers:
- PostgreSQL Database
- Authentication
- Storage
- Row-Level Security
- Service Role APIs
The database models include businesses, users, customers, subscriptions, deliveries, invoices, payments, plans, leads, and AI activity.
Payments & Documents
- Razorpay (Test Mode) for payment order creation and signature verification
- ReportLab for PDF invoice generation
- Supabase Storage for invoice storage
AI Assistant
Instead of navigating multiple screens, merchants can interact with RozOps using natural language.
For example:
- "Who hasn't paid this month?"
- "Pause Ravi's deliveries until Monday."
- "How many deliveries are scheduled tomorrow?"
- "Show customers with outstanding balances."
The AI understands operational intent, checks business rules, summarizes the impact, and requests confirmation before applying changes to protect business data.
Challenges We Faced
The biggest challenge was designing RozOps as more than a milk-delivery application.
While milk vendors are our first pilot, the architecture needed to remain flexible enough to support many recurring businesses without rewriting core workflows.
Another challenge was maintaining data consistency. Deliveries, subscriptions, invoices, payments, and outstanding balances are tightly connected. A single subscription change can affect future deliveries, invoices, and payment calculations, so backend operations had to be carefully designed with scoped business ownership and idempotent workflows.
Role-based access was another important challenge. RozOps supports merchants, staff, customers, and platform administrators, each requiring different permissions and application experiences.
Finally, we focused heavily on usability. Small business owners need software that is powerful but simple enough to use every day without technical training.
What We Learned
Building RozOps taught us that recurring local businesses need much more than a CRM or billing application.
Their daily workflow combines subscriptions, delivery planning, customer communication, billing, payment tracking, exceptions, and operational decisions. Solving only one part of this workflow simply shifts the manual work elsewhere.
We also learned that AI becomes valuable only when it is connected to real business operations. Instead of acting as a generic chatbot, the RozOps AI Assistant understands business context, accesses operational data, and helps merchants complete meaningful tasks safely.
Perhaps the biggest lesson was that software for small businesses must adapt to real-world behavior. Customers pause deliveries unexpectedly, change quantities frequently, pay late, and communicate informally. Designing around these realities is more valuable than forcing businesses into rigid enterprise workflows.
Why RozOps?
Most small-business software focuses on accounting, billing, or CRM.
RozOps focuses on daily operations.
Instead of requiring merchants to manually coordinate subscriptions, deliveries, invoices, payments, and customer requests across multiple tools, RozOps brings everything together into one operational workflow powered by AI.
The result is software designed around how recurring local businesses actually work.
