Inspiration
We took inspiration from an AI application that I developed for the US Air Force.
What it does
This is a quirky note taking app that demonstrates how AI can be used to streamline repetitious tasks, leaving more time for productive tasks. It has calendar and timer integrations.
How we built it
We built the app using Streamlit to build a web app, and Gemini API to query a LLM. The calendar integration uses Google Calendar. The development occurred using Github.
Challenges we ran into
One major challenge that we ran into is that most of the team did not know python. We also ran into some hardware complications.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have come together and developed an application that works well, is useful, and, most importantly, easy to use.
What we learned
PYTHON... All jokes aside, the team was able to grasp the basics of python. We also learned that software development is very difficult when restricted to such short restraints.
What's next for Royal Scribe
Some features we would have liked to add are AI-Calendar integration, where the chatbot could streamline creating calendar events, and AI note summarization for automagic creation of summaries for notes.
