Inspiration We wanted to introduce CorePower’s new rowing accessory in a way that felt larger than a product demo. The idea came from imagining rowing as a force that has carried humanity forward for centuries. That thought opened the door to a time-traveling journey where we row through history, from ancient explorers to Viking ships, and finally into CorePower’s vision of the future. What it does Rowing Through History is an AI-driven film that connects a modern innovation to the epic lineage of human endurance. The piece takes viewers on a fast, story-led ride through different eras of rowing before landing in the sleek, high-tech world that CorePower is building. How we built it We created the film entirely through VEO 3, using it to generate dynamic transitions between historical worlds, stylized characters, and a final futuristic environment. Each era was designed to feel distinct but connected through the continuous act of rowing. The workflow blended curated reference boards, prompt-controlled cinematics, and iterative passes to keep the motion and story smooth from scene to scene. Challenges we ran into Moving between multiple time periods without losing coherence was the biggest challenge. Each era wanted to drift into a different visual language, so we had to anchor the film with consistent framing, movement, and pacing. Controlling character poses and maintaining a readable rowing action inside AI-generated worlds also required tight creative constraint. Accomplishments that we are proud of We built a film with scope and imagination while working entirely inside an AI environment. The transitions between history and the future feel fluid and intentional, and the final reveal of CorePower’s accessory lands with scale and meaning. The project demonstrates what is possible when narrative ambition and advanced AI tools work together. What we learned We learned that VEO 3 can support longer-form storytelling when the creative rules are thoughtfully designed. The tool rewards specificity, rhythm, and visual anchors, especially when moving across different worlds. We also learned that AI-generated films can feel emotional and cinematic when grounded in a strong concept. What is next for Rowing Through History We plan to expand the world into shorter character moments, social cutdowns, and interactive story loops that explore even more eras of rowing. The next phase includes a deeper dive into CorePower’s innovation and more worldbuilding around the future of the sport. Rowing Through History will continue to evolve as a signature piece in CorePower’s brand universe.
